During one of the most painful, darkest moments in her life, Kelly Spencer found herself crying out in desperation to God for help. In a dream, she saw herself in a bathtub covered with water up to her neck. From her belly radiated a beam of light that caused the water to shimmer and the entire room to be illuminated. In the dream, she said, "God this is wonderful!" He immediately spoke to her saying, "Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water." She woke up from the dream startled and began to research those words in the Bible. She stumbled on John 7:38 and found those exact words!
The call of God came for her preach the Gospel in 1991. After years of running from the call, she finally surrendered and enrolled in Bible College. Kelly received a Diploma in Ministry Development from Light Christian Institute of Ministry, a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Calvary Theological Seminary, a Bachelors of Science in Human Services from Springfield College, a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and a Doctorate in Theology from Cornerstone University.
Her book “Sisterella at the Well: What Happens When a Woman’s Well Runs Dry” was released in 2007. This book talks very candidly about how singles can be delivered from the bondage of sex and walk in victory. It features other areas in women’s lives that can be painful, frustrating and devastating such as divorce, sickness, and insecurity.
In 2021, she released "Triple Delight Birthday." This book is an excellent read for young children and adults. It teaches character building by emphasizing the importance of accepting situations that cannot be controlled, which also helps to teach acceptance of others. In addition, it reinforces that it is okay to be different and model empathy and compassion.
When asked what is her ministerial purpose Kelly will always tell you, “God has commissioned me to empower youth and singles (particularly women) who have experienced pain, rejection, and abuse through the practical teaching of God’s Word. Prayerfully, this teaching will guide them to their God-given purpose and destiny in life and ultimately reach healing and deliverance so that they can minister the same healing and deliverance to others that they may come in contact with.”
